For the I quarter of 2018, the following was produced: - iron ore concentrate 15.2 million tons (100% compared to the same period in 2017); - agglomerate 7.96 million tons (108%); - pellets of 5.3 million tons (107%); - coke 2.71 million tons (105%); - pig iron 5.25 million tons (108%, taking into account the work on the tubing in January-February 2017, or 120% without taking into account the latter); - steel 5.23 million tons (97% and 105% respectively); - rolled 4.59 million tons (98% and 108% respectively); - Pipe production of 269 thousand tons (111%). Производство чугуна стали и проката в Украине The increase in the production of pig iron in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017 was due to the stabilization of the provision of iron ore raw materials and coke (Mariupol metallurgical plants and Dneprovsky metallurgical plant), and the commissioning of blast furnace No. 3 at MK Zaporozhstal after reconstruction. A slight decrease in the overall level of steel and rolled steel output for the first quarter of 2018 is a result of the loss of part of the capacity in the uncontrolled territory. At the same time, a comparative analysis of the performance of metallurgical enterprises in the controlled area in the first quarter of 2017 and 2018 indicates an increase in the output of the main types of products. As of April 10, 2018, 19 out of 21 blast furnaces, 7 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces, 12 out of 16 converters, 7 out of 15 electric furnaces and 14 of 14 continuous casting machines are in operation. According to the forecasts of OP Ukrmetallurgprom in May 2018, it is planned to produce about 1.8 million tons of pig iron, 1.8 million tons of steel and 1.6 million tons of rolled metal.
